Did You Lose Doughnuts In A Recent Update?

This is a post that I have been meaning to write for a number of days now but given that I've been busy working on the site, I haven't had a chance to publish anything.

There a numerous reports online that following what I believe was the Springfield Heights update, a large number of players reported losing some, most or even all of their doughnuts.

This is apparently due to a bug that I am somewhat happy to tell you that the EA devs are aware of the issue and are actively working to fix the problem.

In the meantime if you contact a game adviser they should be able to credit you the missing doughnuts, once you've explained your situation and tell them how many doughnuts you're missing.

You can contact a game adviser using the 'Contact EA' tab in the menu above.

SITE NEWS: Server Link Added

Big news guys, Have you ever wanted to peek into Tapped Out update content server for yourself? Well now you can!

In the menu bar above, I've added a link to view exactly that. You should note though that it will only show you the most recent update and not every update ever released.

Note that this is NOT maintained by me although I am grateful to whoever does maintain it.

More new features are coming to Tapped Out Daily soon. I'll update you on them soon!

More Squidport Tiles Available Now!

As part of yesterdays update, EA added the ability to create more Squidport Tiles.

You can now build an additional 50 tiles, although be warned, it takes me 3 and a half days (so far) to make a single tile so you should get started on that as soon as you can.

How Do I Gain Access To Springfield Heights?

Springfield Heights is the latest, and by far the greatest addition to the game.

The most important thing to note is that this is a PERMANENT EXPANSION and is in no way time limited. Think of it like Squidport and Krustyland, get to it when you're ready, there's no need to rush.

That said, there are some requirements when it comes to gaining access to the new area, and by that I mean the following;

  • You must be at least level 30
  • Your cash is useless in this new area
  • All things are bought/unlocked/upgraded by gathering and then spending materials
  • Materials are guaranteed every time you do a job related to whatever material you're after

Here are a couple of other things I've noticed;

  • The tunnel can't be moved
  • All buildings required to produce crafting materials are provided for free
  • Progressing in the area is dependent on land value
  • All items released as part of this update increase land value
  • All Springfield Heights items can be placed in regular Springfield
  • All regular Springfield items can be placed in Springfield Heights

There's lots more info to come so please stay tuned for more!

Springfield Heights Out NOW!!!

This. Is. Awesome! Springfield Height is now available for download from in the app right now!!

Note that this is an EXTENTION to regular Springfield like Squidport and not an expansion like Krustyland

I can't tell you much about it right now as I'm just learning myself but here's what I do know;

- Mr. Burns starts it
- You are promted to build a free building for 6 seconds
- Mr. Burns asks you to build the realtors office, another 6 seconds and also free
- Kookie Kwan is unlocked
- Homer has a really cool 6 second task
- Springfield Heights is unlocked!

Once there, there are a few things to note:
- Regular cash can NOT be used here
- You must obtain materials to build and upgrade condos as well as buy land
- There's a bunch of new stuff
- There are prizes to unlock depending on land value

That's all I've got for now guys, I'm off back to the game to see what else I can pick up!!

The Update Is Live!

There is a new app update available for download right now on the App Store. There is no new content, the update just serves to remove the event mechanics and revert back to the original splash screen and app icon.

If you don't have all of the prizes yet, do not update and do not visit your neighbours and you'll be able to continue tapping fans in your town for, at most, an extra day before EA forces you to update.

I'll post an update on the complete list of changes tomorrow as its time for me to head off to bed for the night, and remember check to ensure that the doughnut confirmation button is still switched ON so you don't accident ill make some expensive premium purchases!

Apple's App Store Glitching Out

Just a quick heads up to iOS users that Apple are currently experiencing issues with several of their services including the App Store, iTunes and the newly launched Apple Music.

It is not known how or even if this outage will effect the App Store update scheduled for some time later today. It is also important to note that not all users are affected.

Apple did not give an ETA in regards to when all their services will be up and running again.

Level 55 Has Arrived!

EA have just dropped level 55 and I must say that I wasn't expecting anything until next week.

This is a pretty amazing level as it has one of the most requested characters so far - Herb Powell! Although he is a premium character.

Here's everything we got in this update:
- Herb Powell with Powell Moters (Premium)
- Herbs Mansion (Premium)
- Declan Desmond with Woosterfield Hotel

There's also a decoration that I can't remember the name of and a Gil deal to buy 'The Homer'.

The quest starts off with Comicbook Guy, if he's busy don't worry, he just initiates a 24 hour build.

There will be a walk through for the new level tomorrow, as it's 10:15 at night here so I will have more for you soon!

Login For Free Doughnuts!

Log into your game now for 10 free doughnuts from EA. These free doughnuts are to compensate for the doughnuts that many lost yesterday after the first community prize was issued.

They also implemented a fix that prevented you from seeing the Tennis Marge skin in your inventory after you unlocked it.

An updated community prize total for each of the remaining prizes is yet to be implemented.

What Changed In Yesterdays Update?

As I mentioned in a post I put up before I signed off for the night, EA pushed through an update with a focus on the Tap Ball community prizes. Here's everything that was changed;

  • Total balls needed for prize one dropped to 3,266,000
  • The totals needed for the other prizes have NOT changed... yet
  • Drop rate for balls increased from 20% to 68%
  • An extra community prize was added - 1000 Amateur Bucks
  • The cost of buying balls dropped from 500 Amateur Bucks to 40 Amateur Bucks

If you haven't got the update yet force close the app and clear cache or uninstall and reinstall.
